The City of Orlando Historic Preservation Board has released their latest calendar in an ongoing series that celebrates Orlando’s treasured landmarks and National Register properties and sponsored by McCoy Federal Credit Union.
Each year’s calendar features photographs by Orlando residents and this year’s winners were announced at the October 22 City Council meeting. The theme for this year’s calendar is “Built Historic Streetscape and Landscape Enhancements.” Which sounds awful, but scroll down to see these award-winning, and ultimately very inspiring shots.
We would like to thank the Historic Preservation Board for allowing us to share the following photos with you and say “Congratulations!” to all of the winners, including Katie Meyers, Scott Nichols, Julianna Russo, Steven Madow, Matthew Palyo, Mark Cechman, Erica Gibbs-Sherman, Darlene Kaiser, Allysaa Taylor, Mitchell O’Rear, and Bob Egleston. Be sure to pick up a calendar to see all of the chosen photographs.
Free calendars are usually available at the security desk in the City Hall rotunda, the Orange County Regional History Center, and at Leu Gardens.
Editor’s Note: We shared the call for submissions HERE this past May, so don’t say we never told you about it.
