VIDEO VIA CITY OF ORLANDO
The City of Orlando’s public Pottery Studio (Facebook | Website) was originally established in 1968.
The focus of the public program is to provide a safe place for City residents to learn and explore the art of ceramics.
The studio is located in the Downtown Recreation Complex and Parramore Kid Zone at 363 N. Parramore Avenue [GMap] and is open 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday to Wednesdays, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesdays, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays, noon-4 p.m. Sundays. It is closed Thursdays and Fridays.
There are 12 electric wheels, four electric kilns, two gas kilns, and they even do low-fire Raku burns.
We previously wrote about the studio HERE when we discussed the pending demolition of the adjacent tool shed and racquetball courts.
