A month-long celebration of guitar music is coming to the Timucua White House (Website) this August.
The International Guitar Festival features a diverse mix of guitar music played by artists from around the world, with some standouts including:
- John Lumpkin & The Covenant – The Spiritual Side of Duke: Jazz ensemble performing Duke Ellington’s Sacred Works, Hymns, and Negro Spirituals featuring guitarist Nick Russell.
- Greg Diamond Trio: A performance of Latin-infused jazz guitar featuring titles from his latest release, Beata.
- Kyran Daniel: Solo performance by Australia’s influential acoustic guitar virtuoso.
- Maharajah Flamenco Trio: GRAMMY award-winning guitarist, Silviu Ciulei and company fuse the art of flamenco with jazz, classical, and world music. Certain to sell out!
- Will Patrick – Tribute to Larry Coryell: New York-based guitarist, singer, and songwriter pays tribute to the Godfather of Fusion, Larry Coryell.
- CF2: 24 Strings & Infinite Possibility: A Guitar Composers’ Showcase: Four consummate guitarist-composers captivate with the sheer expanse of expression as classical stylings intertwine with innovative multimedia, rock fusions, jazz improvisations, and audacious new tonal territories.
- Adrian Legg: Globally acclaimed UK fingerstyle guitarist blends diverse musical styles, influences, and inspirations to create a distinctive sound all his own. This performance will highlight an amazing mix of alternating bass style with harmonics, banjo-peg retuning, and string bending.
