The Orlando Modern Quilt Guild (Website) put out a call for quilts after the Pulse tragedy this summer. The response, resulted in over 1,500 quilts being donated from across the world.
The guild will be presenting quilts to Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Commissioner Patty Sheehan, City of Orlando employees, and Pulse owner Barbara Poma and Pulse employees at an event at the Mezz in South Eola at 5 p.m. Tuesday, December 13.
A number of the quilts will be on display at the event.
