Local writer and publisher for Orlando’s own Burrow Press (Facebook | Website), Ryan Rivas, was so inspired by his neighbors’ behavior on the Nextdoor website that he launched an amazing new series he calls Nextdoor in Colonialtown.

The series was recently published by the lit magazine Autofocus HERE. Each short comes complete with a series of photographs that were inspired by the suburban gothic paintings of local artist, Ericka Sobrack, and are paired with various quotes taken directly from Nextdoor, though the names of their original authors have been removed.

Simply scroll down for a sample from the series that you can read via Rivas’ Instagram page. Rivas told Bungalower that he plans to continue to release more of his Nextdoor in Colonialtown stories in the near future.
