“This is our Super Bowl.”
– Dr. Phillips Center staff
Hamilton is touring the country and will be at the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center from January 22 to February 10, 2019. Tickets are expected to sell out almost immediately.
According to Dr. Phillips Center officials, no tickets have officially been released at the time of this post. Anything you see online is essentially an empty promise to have tickets, possibly, available for you to purchase second hand once they’re available, so unless you see it on drphillipscenter.org you probably shouldn’t click it.
While no date has been announced for the official On Sale of Hamilton at this time, Orlandoans can do a few things to streamline the process once that date has been announced.
- Create an online account at DrPhillipsCenter.org and store your payment information ahead of time so you’re not slowed down at the last minute when buying your tickets.
- Follow Dr. Phillips Center on their social platforms and sign up for their e-newsletter for any On Sale announcements. That is where you’ll find out when you can finally try to buy your seats.
- Identify what dates you want to buy, ahead of checking into the site. That will save you some precious moments.
All tickets will be sold online. A “virtual waiting room” has been programmed in order to help avoid any website crashes. That means as you login to buy your tickets you will be ranked in a digital waiting list before being transferred over to the payment site.
Limits of four tickets per person will be in effect. You will not be able to log back on and buy another set, so be sure to have a friend buying their tickets on their own computer if you’re trying to go as a group.
An announcement will be made one week before sales officially begin. Season ticket holders already have the first claim to what is available, and yes it is too late to buy a season ticket.
