Feminism and the Guerilla Girls
The Guerilla Girls came onto the art scene in 1985. These anonymous artists wear gorilla masks while advocating for gender and racial equity. We will discuss how their work can be used to inspire feminist activism and civic engagement at a local level. Students will be able to take a feminist pledge and get their Guerilla on!
PARK(ing) Day 2018
This year Parking Day Orlando will host a two block parklet event centered around Advocacy! Come build community, learn about a cause, and explore the creativity of Thornton Park. Public space is a place to gather, rally, and advocate!
