PROMO: Boone High School students will be headed off-campus this year as they await the construction of a brand new auditorium.

The award-winning theatre program lost their auditorium, which was built in 1952, this year and has been forced to host their performances across the City Beautiful for the forthcoming season, with their first show, Little Shop of Horrors, taking place September 21-22nd at the Plaza Live.

Nadine Love, the director of the theatre department received a Jimmy Award this past summer for being an Inspirational Teacher. The National High School Musical Theatre Awards, more commonly known as the “Jimmy Awards,” is an awards ceremony that recognizes excellence of student performers representing various professional theatres throughout the country.

This production of Little Shop of Horrors has been designed, built, choreographed, and stage managed by Boone High School students and has a crew of over 60 students working after school to make it possible.

The Plaza Live is located at 425 N. Bumby Avenue [GMap] in Orlando’s Milk District.
