SPONSORED: The Second Annual Indie-Folkfest at the Mennello Museum of American Art (Facebook | Website) will be held on Saturday, February 13 from noon to 5 p.m. on the shores of Lake Formosa [GMap]. The annual festival features local artists, musicians, and food and drink specialties in the style of a grand community picnic in the museum’s sculpture garden.
There will be a live music lineup featuring Terri Binion, Eugene Snowden and Friends, JunoSmile, Kaleigh Baker, Brown Bag Grass Band, and the Steve Garron Threesome. Attendees are permitted to bring their own food but there will be vendors on-site from East End Market and 4 Rivers Smokehouse.
Craft cocktails will also be available from local hotspots like the Courtesy, Lil’ Indies, Artisan’s Table, the Thirsty Topher, and Hanson’s Shoe Repair. The Vendor list is still growing so stay tuned.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets but hand-made picnic blankets are also available for purchase with proceeds going to the museum.
All pets must be on-leash.
There is no cost to attend this event thanks to the generous support of the community and event sponsors, including the Mennello Museum of American Art Board of Trustees, Friends of the Mennello Museum of American Art, the Bungalower, Xerox Print, and the Digestive and Liver Center of Florida.
