EDIT: The sale is scheduled to take place from 5-9 p.m.
Ibex Puppetry (Website) has been quietly calling Thornton Park home for years. The puppet-focused organization is owned and operated by Heather Henson and is responsible for touring productions, as well as underwriting independent puppetry efforts, around the world.
Ibex will be hosting a pop-up sale featuring local artist Quillsong (Facebook) and in-house kite maker, Curtis Mitchell, at their Thornton Park studio located directly behind the soon-to-open Truck Stop Restaurant.
Mitchell, who’s flown kites around the planet, will be selling his limited edition, custom-made, Air-Yo kites for $25. Watch the trippy video above to see what we’re talking about.
The sale is planned to take place during the Thornton 2nd Thursday Wine and Art Walk which runs from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
