The Orlando Museum of Art is hosting an experimental event on September 22 that will transform the front foyer into an immersive, DIY pop-up event.

Night Shift: An Evening of New Media will showcase a diverse range of mediums including installations, interactive digital art, and sound performances that are created by local Florida artists who work outside of the regular “institutional” art scene.

There will be a panel discussion featuring artists from across the globe who specialize in the tech and digital arts movement (Pastiche Lumumba, Shawne Michaelain Holloway, and Cabias Thomas), music by local DJs (Cabias, DeviatArt Heaux, J.A.S.O.N., and Mylpede) and access to the two new exhibitions Baggage Claims and Virtual Views. There will be stage performances by Kunst and Le Sissy Noir, respectively.

Featured artists include Vanessa Andrade, Xena Ellison, Paul Finch, Casey Hayes, January Miller, Elizabeth Mputu, and Charles Wheatle.

The first 50 guests will receive a limited edition zine that commemorates the event.

Drinks will be available for purchase from the Guesthouse.

Tickets are $10 for museum members and $15 for non-members.
