The second video in WUCF’s newly launched series focusing on Orlando’s rich Vietnamese culture has been released.
Hosted by Ricky Ly of Tasty Chomps (Website) this second episode takes a look at Viet Nomz (Website), more specifically he spends time with the owner of the restaurant, Philip Nguyen. Viet Nomz is located at 7581 University Boulevard [GMap].
The series is part of WUCF’s programming leading up to the launch of a collaborative exhibit at the Orange County History Center on September 7 called Leaving Vietnam: Building a New Life in Central Florida. The exhibit will use oral histories gathered from the area to explore the impact of the Vietnam War on Central Florida and share how local veterans were shaped by their experiences on the front lines.
