PROMO: The touring production of Matilda the Musical has arrived at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts and will run through May 19.
The musical is based on the cult-favorite film from 1996 of the same name, which was in turn adapted from the work of Road Dahl; about a magical girl named Matilda Wormwood trying to survive a series of unfortunate events.
During the run of the show, the Dr. Phillips Center and A Gift for Teaching will be hosting a school supply drive where guests can drop-off a school supply from the following list and get a surprise gift in return:
- 12-pack of number two pencils
- Loose-leaf paper packs
- 24-count crayons
- 12-count colored pencils
- 8-count markers
- glue sticks
