The Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens (Facebook | Website) will host the seventeenth annual Winter Park Paint Out from April 20-26, during which, the gallery and sculpture gardens will be free.
The Winter Park Paint Out is a distinguished weeklong festival that invites over 20 artists to paint “en plein air,” just like the 19th-century French Impressionists. Audiences can watch the artists in action at the Polasek Museum and locations around town as they create more than 200 paintings that become part of a pop-up exhibition and flash sale at the end of the week. Artwork created during the Winter Park Paint Out will be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds going to support the museum.
This year’s shopping list of 22 participating artists includes:
- Linda Apriletti
- Irina Kovnacka Ashcraft
- Jonathan Aycrigg
- Stacy Barter
- Charles Dickinson
- Katie Dobson-Cundiff
- Rachel Dowd
- Catherine Hillis
- Mary Hoffman
- Julia Kamenskikh

- Chris Kling
- Nathan Leemis
- Maurizio Maso
- Abby Ober
- Barbara Ortiz
- Michael Pintar
- Morgan Samuel Price

The week includes a number of standalone events to participate in, including a Paint-In on Park Ave on Wednesday, April 23, from 5:30-8 p.m., with plein air artists setting up their easels outside participating businesses. Guests can stroll the avenue while enjoying a selection of wine and appetizers while watching the artists in action for $25 per person.
