Mayor Dyer will join District 5 City Commissioner Shan Rose and District 6 City Commissioner Bakari F. Burns to celebrate the opening of the City of Orlando’s Black History Month Art Exhibition in the City Hall Rotunda and Terrace Gallery this Wednesday, February 5 at 5 p.m.
The exhibition features artwork from over 30 local artists, inspired by this year’s national Black History Month theme, “African Americans and Labor.” It highlights and honors the contributions of Black individuals, celebrating the transformative impact of labor on Black experiences, and is part of Orlando’s ongoing efforts to foster a more equitable and inclusive community for all residents.
The reception will run until 8 p.m. and complimentary parking is available in the City Commons Parking Garage on Boone Avenue, behind City Hall.
