The arts instigators Creative City Project (Website) have officially announced the return of its signature arts event, Immerse, to downtown Orlando, from February 21-23.

“We’ve typically hosted the IMMERSE festival in October and made the big move to February for the festival’s return,” says Melyssa Rae Marshall, Executive Director of Creative City Project and IMMERSE Producer.  “Weather in February is wonderful, and it will still be getting darker earlier in the evening.  Since we transform a large part of downtown into a theatrical space, this allows us to elevate the artistic experience and transform the city with beautiful lighting.  We’ve loved activating Downtown Orlando and are excited to again partner with Orange County and the City of Orlando to bring the streets to life in unique ways.”

The free three-day event will run from 5-11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and during the daytime hours on Sunday and is presented by AdventHealth over 10 blocks of downtown Orlando, featuring live performances, immersive art installations, and a bunch of weird things you won’t understand but will totally love anyway.

Some standout experiences include acrobats on cranes, singers on high-rise balconies, and a pop-up 100-piece orchestra. Immerse is collaborating with over 100 artists and arts organizations this year.

This year’s fest will also include some paid options, including reserved seating options closer to the performances, VIP experiences with drinks and special access and routes to the performances, and a dining experience on Orange Avenue.
