The City of Winter Park’s Public Art Advisory Board has just launched the city’s first-ever online Public Art Collection, featuring over 90 pieces of art.
Residents and visitors can now go online to see the full collection of art which is displayed publicly across the city, and go on a scavenger hunt of sorts to see them all in person. Worlks include pieces like Man Carving His Own Destiny at the Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens, Molecular Dog by Robert Chambers in Central Park, and Rhythmic Colors by RLF Architects at the northbound I-4/Fairbanks on-ramp.
The database also includes an interactive map to make it even easier to find all of the pieces in the collection.
The City of Winter Park welcomes substantial art piece donations to be added to its public art collection. Donations must be presented to the Public Art Advisory Board for consideration, and ultimately reviewed for approval by the City Commission. Contact Craig Oneil at coneil@cityofwinterpark.org if you’d like to present a donation to the city.
