New York Times Bestselling Author John Green will appear at Dr. Phillips Center early next year as part of Orange County Library System’s Lillian Louise Pharr Author Series.

According to the library’s website, An Evening With Author John Green will explore the author’s literary journey, inspirations, and creative process through an engaging, moderated conversation.

Green, a Lake Highland Prep alumnus, is the author of several young adult novels set in and around the Orlando area, including “Paper Towns” and “Looking for Alaska.” His fourth novel, “The Fault in Our Stars” is one of the bestselling novels of all time, selling over 23 million copies worldwide. Green also co-owns Crash Course, an educational YouTube series with his brother and fellow New York Times Bestselling Author Hank Green.

Last year, the author spoke out against Orange County Public School Board Member Alicia Farrant’s campaign to ban OCPS library materials that she (and conservative political organization Moms For Liberty) deemed explicit, including Green’s “Looking for Alaska.”

The Lillian Louise Pharr Author Series was established through a generous donation to the Friends of the Orange County Library System by Roger Pharr, a former Orlando Public Library volunteer.
