Zymarium Meadery (Facebook | Website), Orlando’s first and only meadery first opened for business in Mills 50 back in July 2023. They are now announcing the opening of an expanded, multi-purpose space called RīZōM at Zymarium Meadery.
According to a press release issued last week, the space, which is located at the back of the meadery, will open on Friday, June 28, with a special experience designed and created by Zymarium Meadery co-owner Ginger Leigh, also known as the artist Synthestruct (Website).
“The name RīZōM was created by Leigh from the word ‘rhizome’, a continuously growing underground root system – a nod to her vision of the space as a place to build communities centered around new experiences and creative expression.”

Synthestruct’s immersive light installation “Intraspection,” which debuted in 2020 at Dazzling Nights at Leu Gardens – and as a part of Creative City Project’s IMMERSE event in Downtown Orlando – will be featured in the space leading up to the meadery’s first anniversary in August 2024. The installation will also feature a hypnotic audio and visual experience.
“When I first started conceptualizing how this area of the meadery could be used, I knew that I wanted to continue the legacy of the building, which was originally a creative studio, and apply my expertise and passion for creating meaningful experiences to debut a new space for people to enjoy. Following the “Instraspection” installment, RīZōM at Zymarium Meadery will host multi-purpose events, including beekeeper talks, workshops, art displays, and gaming tournaments, all of which will be carefully curated by Leigh. Guests will also have the opportunity to rent the space for private events.
RīZōM at Zymarium Meadery will be open Friday and Saturday nights from 6 p.m. to midnight for guests who are 21 and older. Entrance is free with proof of drink purchase.
