The Orlando Museum of Art (Facebook | Website) has just issued a statement that shares that the embattled institution will be establishing a special task force to review all of its currently planned exhibitions as a result of the fallout from the “fake Basquiat” controversy.
According to a recent piece by The New York Times, the museum has already canceled its next three scheduled exhibitions that were booked by its former director, Aaron De Groft. The OMA Board’s new task force, led by current OMA Trustees Mark Elliott and Nancy Wolf, will be reviewing all museum policies and procedures that vet incoming exhibitions and is already looking at exhibits for 2024.

The museum recently joined the Museums for All initiative which provides $3 admission to individuals with a SNAP EBT card.
