The Milk District Main Street (Facebook | Website) is partnering with the City of Orlando to select a public art installation for a new pocket park that will be installed at the corner of South Primrose Drive and East Anderson Street, near downtown Orlando.
The new park is part of the City of Orlando’s ongoing Downtown Loop Project that will connect various downtown neighborhoods via a network of bike paths and trails. The new pocket park, made possible via a partnership with the Central Florida Expressway Authority, will serve as a new gathering space along the trail and the hope is that it will become an identifiable meet-up spot for residents.
The proposal will include two sites within the pocket park, with a budget of $70,000. Proposals are due Monday, October 17, with a final decision scheduled to be made by the end of 2022, with a Spring 2023 installation window.
