The Orange County Arts and Cultural Affairs office will be hosting a special tour of the new I-4 Ultimate Art Endowment Program sculptures that were recently installed along the interstate corridor.
Attendees will board a free luxury bus tour to see the installations that have been installed along the interstate, which were underwritten by I-4 Mobility Partners to the tune of $1.5 million which was distributed to municipalities along the corridor as follows:
- Altamonte Springs – $200,000
- Eatonville – $225,000
- Maitland – $200,000
- Orange County – $225,000
- Orlando – $400,000
- Winter Park – $150,000
Each city was responsible for its own installation criteria and soliticiations.
The event will kick off at 9:15 a.m. at 450 E. South Street [GMap] with a departure time of 9:30 a.m. before heading to the first stop to see Jefre’s “Family Tree” installation at 9:50 a.m. followed by “Solidarity” by Hunter Brown at 10:40 a.m., “Rhythmic Colors” by RLF Architects at 11:10 a.m., “Blossom” by Jennifer Madden and Jeffrey Reed at 11:35 a.m., “Nurture” by Mark Aeling at 12:05 p.m., and returning to the Orange County Administration building by 12:40 p.m. that afternoon.
