Former Chairman of City Beverages and prolific arts patron Ford Kiene, who passed away in April 1, 2022, will be honored on Thursday, May 19th with a special profession in downtown Orlando.

The jazz-themed procession, which was sponsored by the April grant from the Orlando chapter of the Awesome Foundation, will start at 9:30 p.m. and continue along Magnolia Avenue to Heritage Square by the Orange County Regional History Center, to live jazz music from the Oak Ridge High School.

Attendees are encouraged to come in costume or as-is for the parade. Colorful and artistic umbrellas also encouraged. Click HERE for more information.

Kiene purchased the historic Queen Anne-style Rogers Building at Pine and Magnolia and donated it to the City of Orlando to be used as an art venue in perpetuity back in January 2018 – and it is currently the home to CityArts and the Downtown Arts District and cool printshop/creative hub Color Me Places (Instagram Website) at 103 E. Pine Street [GMap]
