The Orlando Science Center (Website) is sharing a new display that’s all about coprolites or fossilized poop.
The “Poozeum” is showcasing some of the largest coprolites ever found by man, and they’re in all shapes and sizes. The ancient turds provide direct links to what Thunder Lizards and other prehistoric animals used to eat, and how they behaved and hints towards the environments they lived in.
The exhibit also has the “World’s Largest Fossilized Excrement From a Carnivore” according to Guinness World Records, and it’s from a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
