“Hemingway” is a new three-part, six-hour documentary film by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick, that will stream for the first time on WUCF TV on Monday, April 5 at 8 p.m.
The new documentary examines the work and life of Ernest Hemingway, one of the most influential writers in the nation. A virtual discussion will be held HERE on Wednesday, March 31 with a panel of local experts, that is free and open to the public. The panel will also discuss the works of Zora Neale Hurston.
One of the panelists is Gail Sinclair, former Executive Director and Scholar in Residence of the Winter Park Institute at Rollins College and Vince President of the International Ernest Hemingway Foundation and Society. Sinclair helped Rollins College’s Olin Library to acquire a donation of 344 unique book titles and four linear feet of archival materials on Hemingway, which are now part of a special Hemingway Collection at the library.
