Regal Cinemas will be temporarily shutting down 536 locations across the country until further notice.
The decision to close the theaters comes as a less and less movies are being released during the pandemic. It’s estimated that roughly 40,000 Regal Cinema employees will be affected by the closures, including locations in Apopka, Kissimmee, Oviedo Mall, Pointe Orlando, Waterford Lakes, and Winter Park Village.
A reopening date for the theaters has not been released at this time.
Release dates for blockbuster movies like the new James Bond No Time To Die, Tenet, Black Widow, and the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984.
