We told you HERE in March 2020 that RLF Architects had been awarded the contract by the Winter Park Public Art Advisory Board to create a large-scale sculpture that will be installed at the new I-4 on-ramp as part of the ongoing I-4 Ultimate project.
The installation will feature a long row of multi-colored 18-foot poles along the eastern side of Fairbanks Avenue, just west of Skycraft, and will be paid for by the I-4 Mobility Partners. Six other cities along the 21-mile corridor will also be getting art installations, and Orlando just launched the search for their project HERE, which we wrote about last week.
On last week’s episode of “Bungalower and The Bus,” co-host Jon Busdeker pondered about what the rejected submissions must have looked like so I’m happy to say that I reached out to the City and they were more than happy to share the following with us.
