The Downtown Orlando Partnership’s Avrio Foundation (Website) hosted a special PlaceMaker Soiree event last week to raise money to fund a series of public art projects in Orlando’s Central Business District and succeeded in bringing in $13, 516.
The funds will be used to create seven projects in the Foundation’s downtown coverage area, one of which will be in Thornton Park.
Each project will be carried out by a local artist, who will be hand-picked by Bungalower editor Brendan O’Connor.
The current timeline for these projects is now through October 2019 so keep your eyes peeled for all of these awesome selfie opportunities as they are installed around Downtown Orlando.
