The Orange County Regional History Center is in the process of renovating their downtown digs, including the main atrium at the entrance to the building that once featured a massive collection of one-of-a-kind sculptures and installation pieces that will need to be rehomed by the end of summer.
To make way for their renovations, the Center is hosting an auction on August 10 from noon-2 p.m. that will feature items ranging from life-sized manatees and mermaids to giant mosquitoes and sloth claws. It’s going to be a can’t-miss event for any Florida lover out there .
A Fabulous Floridiana Auction Preview Party will be held 6-8 p.m. August 8 at the History Center where hopeful collectors can get an up-close look at the auction items prior to bidding.
The props and models go back twenty years to when the building first opened as a history center and are being sold as-is.
